"Santas On The Move" Release Date
First off, I have to apologize to everyone. When planning for the release of the film, I never imagined how much it would take to edit the thing down to 20 - 25 minutes. Santacon took place on December 11th, and Christmas was two weeks later. Someone working around the clock might have been able to do it, but I doubt it.
Everyone working on this have volunteered their time, and I cannot thank...

I’m gearing up for Santacon! This is a video of me practicing my makeup to see how much time I need to dedicate to applying it the day of :D! Not really a tutorial, but feel free to copy my technique…Also, try to do it just as fast!
In Laughing Squid... AGAIN!
I have to give a very big shout out to Scott Beale over at Laughing Squid for putting the trailer for our documentary on his site. It was only a few months ago that I was able to get a lot of great background info on the origins of Santacon(archy) from Scott and he even threw the kickstarter drive up on his site.
Now, even without me emailing him, I found that the views of the trailer had...
I give up. All hail Coco.
Sexy Santa Girls Go Wild - For such an audacious title, they didn’t go all that wild in this video or at the actual Con itself.
I Love Arduinos
If you have 30 bucks and a little bit of time, I would highly recommend picking one up. Play around with it and teach yourself how to program it. There were many nights while developing the robot’s circuits when I would hold up a pile of wires to Shayna and be absolutely delighted that I could get a light to blink.
Anyways…
I would like to share what went into the control panel....
I am proud to present the trailer for “Santas On The Move.” It sums up exactly how good a time we had throughout this whole project. I would like to add a special thanks to those we were able to interview and everybody who helped fund us. I hope this little taste can further justify the significance of your donations.

I can’t thank Dan Glass enough for this article. For not only being super nice about everything, and being a seasoned Santacon veteran, but for really getting what we set out to do with this project. Please read, enjoy, tweet, or even digg if you may. It is a great read and you’ve GOT to make it to the end of the article.
The Santabot received some Dino-Damage pretty early on in the day. Within an hour, the candy dish was broken and little did I know the speakers were about to fry. Here is me giving a breakdown of the damage. Sorry for the abrupt ending, we moved onto another topic pretty quickly.

Santacon Survival Guide
For those preparing to attend Santacon this year, the fine folks over at NYC Santacon have posted a survival guide to participating in this year’s event.
Santa’s Survival Guide:
What to expect Santacon is an annual convention for Santa and his holiday brethren. Expect holiday cheer, unconventional gifts, naughty carols and general mayhem. Do not...
Now I find out these exist too! What! At least my fridge box forts in the future will be extremely sturdy.
Santa Bot 2.0 In The Brooklyn Paper →
I was interviewed on Friday for the Brooklyn Paper. You can read the article at the link above, but I love the quote she ended the piece with…
Dressing up is mandatory, although variations on the theme, such as elves or reindeer, are invited. Any Santa is welcome, but Brewer suggests making a bare minimum of effort in the costume department.
“Just showing up in a red sweatshirt and binge...
What A Friday
Not only did I go reserve equipment for next week, but I was also interviewed for the Brooklyn Paper and had my piece go up on KUAC!
You can listen to it HERE (skip to 2:47)
Now back to building and such… this thing is going to be sweet.

These are little rivets are made for the purpose of joining cardboard boxes together. WHERE WERE THESE WHEN I WAS A KID! Actually, if I knew about these a month ago, I would have used them in the robot. Unfortunately it is a little late for that, but I still wanted to share a cool find.
fairfood40 asked: I love this idea for a project! I found your blog when I was looking up images for SantaCon (I am going to attend my first one in San Francisco this Saturday). So glad you included the picture of Hannukah Harry and said it was fine to dress as other seasonal characters. I am erring on the side of biblical or Dickensonian characters myself.
