Santas on The Move

A Santacon Robot Documentary

I’ve put a lot of time into this and we are going to release the film under a Creative Commons. From their website…

Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization

We work to increase the amount of creativity (cultural, educational, and scientific content) in “the commons” — the body of work that is available to the public for free and legal sharing, use, repurposing, and remixing.

I think it will be the best way for us to put our film out there. Since it is going to be online for free anyways, why not give others the ability to legally put it up for free as well.

This move was pretty much inspired by the chiptunes collective 8bitpeoples. Many of their albums are online for free (including the one I hope to use for the music throughout our film). If I’m reading their license correctly, we are allowed to use the music because we are not making a profit off the film, and in the credits we must show that the artists don’t support what we are doing.

This project is a collaboration, and I hope to keep it as open as we can from now through a finished product.
